ELEGANT WEDDING INSPIRATION
The South of Italy is soaked in perfumes of wild rosemary, oleanders and sea breeze, a soulful land packed with summer, strewn with sparkling tree hills, seas of olives, and little pearls of masserias stretching under the sun. Our editorial shoot in Masseria Montenapoleone sits in the heart of the Ulivi Secolari atop an ancient cave settlement and was inspired by the palettes of the Itria Valley and the marshlands of Pezze di Greco. Reflecting the passage of time over the Italian countryside and the passage into spring, the talented team of DePlanV conjured up a lavish celebration to contrast the classic provincial aesthetics of the old rural manor with tones of gold, mirror, agate, pastels and burgeoning crystals. Throughout the tablescape design, they layered texture upon texture with beautiful heritage pieces, feathers, porcelain curios and herbariums while etched crystal and gold rim glasses added a touch of vintage. Massive floral arrangements with peonies, eucalypti, ferns, wisteria, astilbe, scabiosa, hyacinths, succulents, delphiniums, dendrobiums, garden roses, Pieris and tons of leafy vines by Flower Addicted Angelica created a soft-hued, sumptuous elan, while Shhh My Darling added to the wedding's romantic impetuosity with endless calligraphy applied on stationery and place-card suites as well as decorative elements such as her on the spot handwritten love-letter banner and pillows. Pavlov's Lab fused our luscious setup with an art deco cake, budding and ornate desserts inspired by the wedding palette to invite springtide into the wedding celebration. The wedding dress was a classic satin ballgown by Laveda Bridal to reflect the crisp Italian style while the bride's m.u.a.h was kept minimal, with a chic chignon and fresh lips and cheeks.
