Cici & Antonis

It's incredible how beautiful these bonding moments are for families and friends who have come from across the globe to be part of a couple's big day. Cici and Antonis' destination wedding on the glamorous Athenian Riviera had been the material of dreams, but this amazing couple had one more surprise in store. Wishing to bid their loved ones farewell in the most special way, they organized a Mediterranean style brunch and welcomed everyone at a little patch of heaven. What better place (especially for those who traveled to Athens all the way from China) than The Margi Farm.Amidst a sea of lavender rows and little ivy-clad cottage houses, the merry crowd got the chance to pick up vegetables for their own salads, collect eggs, feed the chickens and the animals, and enjoy some farmland donkey rides. Scents of fresh oregano, lavender, anise, parsley, rosemary, and sage filled their palms and baskets, while everyone got the chance to familiarize with the Greek herbs and plants cultivated in the estate's orchards. Our ever so agreeable chef orchestrated the cooking process, offered recommendations inviting everyone to lend a hand and get involved. The chef presented ways of cooking with olive oil produced at the farm, as well as details about the wines that escorted the bride and groom's culinary surprises. It's been a one of a kind experience for all of us, but mostly for the young guests, who found themselves in the countryside for the first time and got so enthused. The brunch was served al-fresco, on the terrace of the charming bastide. The guests went home with an array of beautiful farewell wedding gifts curated by the groom's mother, a selection of Greek products and Greek-cuisine cookbooks.  After a popping with colors and flavors feast the beautiful couple and I took to the sun-soaked farmyard to have a portrait session. We laughed so much and there was no better way for them to begin their journey as husband and wife.
