PRIVATE VILLA WEDDING ON PAROS ISLAND
If you've ever gazed upon the beauty of Venus de Milo you probably already know this masterful statue was carved out of Parian marble. But the nonchalantly resting island of Paros is not simply an artistic land, but a stylish, fashionable resort island, with the likes of Tom Hanks, Matthew McConaughey, Angelina Jolie and hundreds of Hollywood stars holidaying and rubbing shoulders with the locals at its pebbled pathways and rural villages each summer. All the more charming, the island now boasts a new wave of chic destination weddings held on its private villas, like the one I was so happy to document earlier this summer alongside Vaso Vantali and My Best Wishes Events. Martha and Babis are two fun-loving, super-stylish sweethearts whose elegant ease-filled vibes and love for Aegean blues found the perfect niche at the pasty gem. Welcoming their loved ones at the famed Barbarossa in Naoussa gave their families and friends quite the treat as the renowned back-port tavern where even celebrities plan way ahead for table reservations takes the term culinary journey to a whole new dimension. You only need a remote chapel as pretty as theirs to have your wedding scream Greek island escape, and Agios Georgios in Pyrgaki Dryos oozes carefree abandon and jaw-dropping views. Following the Orthodox ceremony the couple's villa Aelia was set to perfection by Vaso with whites and greenery contrasting its grey marble terraces and touches of azure agate as a wedding calls for that something blue.
