Rebecca & Gary

On a glorious September day, sheltered by the magnificent canvas of Sierra Blanca mountains I found myself taken by the beauty of Marbella's casco antiguo (the old town)and  Costa del Sol's sun-studded shores.  Rebecca and Gary whose love journey began in Switzerland -and goes as deep in history as kindergarten- came to tie the knot in this magnificent part of Spain. So fond, elegant and radiating beauty both inside and outside, they had me at hello. Getting to spend time with them documenting their best moments filled me with gratitude and joy, and their hearty smiles rubbed off keeping me in a constant mood of happiness all day through! Their ceremony that followed all the Jewish rites was truly incredible to witness. There's always so much emotion and wisdom in the words spoken, so much spirituality in the way a couple's passage flourishes from engagement to marriage that leaves me astounded.Well-tended surprises and one of the most sophisticated marquee celebrations -orchestrated to perfection by Soirées Café-Deluxe -followed while I and my two newlyweds got to explore this bastion of charm that Marbella is, rooting out the legacy of Phoenicians, Visigoths, Romans and Moors, whose influences have marked the architecture, the gardens, the narrow lanes of the town, the quay, even the beach umbrellas and tiled floors. I was so endeared to have been part of your journey Rebecca and Gary, Mazel Tov, darlings!   From the Bride: Gary and I went to the same schools from kindergarden up to high school in Geneva Switzerland, however we did not interact much back then. While I lived after in France, Israel, New York and London, Gary was travelling and focusing on his career as a race car driver -he is a race driver very famous in Switzerland and he has been an ELMS Racing driver champion for years). We reconnected almost 4 years ago thanks to facebook and the rest is history! We loved the festive atmosphere in Marbella as well as the Moors architectural influence in this part of Andalusia. Moreover, we chose to get married in September and didn't want to take any chance of bad weather back in Switzerland. We had a very international crowd: US, UK, Israel, France, Singapore, Moscow, Switzerland, Mexico and each guest received a personalised monogrammed Andalusian tile and a shot glass.Soirées Café-Deluxe created our entire wedding weekend concept from start to finish. They were extremely detailed oriented and ensured that guests were surprised with original concepts throughout the wedding. They put together an incredible program of artists and entertainment, flown in from all over the world and designed a dreamy decor for each space used throughout the wedding.VENDORS:Planner: Soirées Café-DeluxeFlowers: Virginia FlowersWedding Dress: Atelier PronoviasMake up artist: Nichola McGeorgeHair: Emma ZamboglouSuit: Custom made Atelier Bon Génie GenevaShirt: Tom FordShoes: Prada
