La dolce luce
La dolce luce
... everything carries me to you, as if everything that exists, aromas, light, metals, were little boats that sail toward those isles of yours that wait for me.._Pablo NerudaThough the term "boudouir" originates from the french verb bouder which means to sulk, boudouir photography is nothing of the sort really, is it? Withdrawn, sensual, glamorous, implicit, and erotic are some of its manifestations that come into mind. This session, however, shot in Santorini where la dolce luce -the sweet light- is ample, draws inspiration from the Classical Period (480- 400 BC), a period during which artsisans, and sculptors deeply explored , consciously rendered, and perfected the human form and its perspective. Contrapposta creating more interesting and natural looking stances, gave sculptures a sense of weight and movement, a more dynamic approach to posing. The result? a contemplative, calm figure slips into soft, fluid whites, a beauty pure and true, like love is_
